Antelope Island Buffalo Run : Spring Classic
The Antelope Island Buffalo Run is a spring trail running event held on Antelope Island with views of the Great Salt Lake, singletrack through desert grasslands, and wild bison present along the course. The event includes multiple race distances and traces its history to 2006, when it began with about 150 runners in two distances.
Distances offered:
- 50 Miles: ~3,428 feet of gain.
- 50K / 31 Miles: ~3,038 feet of gain.
- 25K / 16.48 Miles: ~1,687 feet of gain.
The event for 2027 is scheduled for Saturday, March 13, 2027, with registration listed as coming soon. Entry fees vary by distance and registration date. Early rates until December 31 and later rates until March 28 are published for each distance. Race fees do not include processing fees or taxes.
Pentalon Construction sponsors a prize purse for course record breakers. The sponsor offers monetary awards for breaking the course records in each distance, with specified amounts allocated separately for the 50 Mile, 50K, and 25K events.
