Anoka Gray Ghost Run

The Anoka Gray Ghost Run is a Halloween-themed road event held in October in downtown Anoka. The event includes both a timed 5K and a one-mile fitness walk that follow part of the Halloween Grand Day Parade route.

The first mile of the course passes an estimated 25,000 cheering spectators assembled for the Grand Day Parade. The one-mile walk stays close to the parade route while 5K participants continue through neighborhood streets. Age group awards are given, and the event includes a costume contest with performance and awards at the end of the route.

Participants can pick up shirts, and in past years a shirt and medal were provided. Event add-ons have included themed running socks. Virtual results may be submitted anytime in October.
