Event Overview
The Anoka Gray Ghost is a running event held on October 31 in downtown Anoka. The event features a chip-timed 5K run and a 1-mile fitness walk. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes.
Course Details
The first mile of the 5K route follows the Grand Day Parade route, passing an estimated 25,000 spectators. After this section, 5K participants continue on residential streets. The 1-mile fitness walk finishes near the end of the parade route.
Participant Experience
At the finish area, participants can pick up their event shirt, enjoy refreshments, and watch performance and costume contest awards. Age group awards are presented. A virtual participation option is available for the entire month of October.
Additional Information
Participants can add a pair of Gray Ghost running socks to their registration. The event benefits the Anoka scholarship fund. It is part of the MN RUN Series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
