Anniston Lions Run For Sight 2026
The Anniston Lions Run For Sight is an annual community event taking place in Anniston, Alabama. Now in its 28th year, the event is organized by the Anniston Lions Club. Participants can choose between two main road race distances:
- 5 km
- 8 km
The event is held at McClellan Park Medical Mall, located at 171 Town Center Drive. The courses lead runners through the development at the former Ft. McClellan. While the 8 km route is USATF certified, the 5 km route for this year is not certified. Both races utilize chip timing to record participant results.
Proceeds from the event support Alabama Lions Sight Conservation and the Anniston Lions Local Sight Fund. Registration for the event takes place on-site at the McClellan Park Medical Mall. Participants can find water stops staffed by volunteers along the course. Following the conclusion of the races, an awards ceremony is held where results are posted and participants can collect awards at the registration tables.
Parking is available on-site at the McClellan Park Medical Mall. There is also a "Double Dip" registration option available for those participating in both the Anniston Lions Run for Sight and the Janney Furnace 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
