Angela Taylor Memorial Run/Walk
The Angela Taylor Memorial Run/Walk is held in honour of Constable Angela Rose Taylor, a Victoria Police officer who lost her life in 1986, and all Victoria Police members who have died in service. The event was first held in 1989 and is a community event welcoming teams and individual participants of all ages. It is organised to support the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation.
The event takes place at Palms Lawn, Albert Park Lake in Melbourne. The event village opens at 7:30 AM. Participants can choose from several categories:
- 5 km Walk
- 5 km Run
- 10 km Run
Entries are available for teams and individuals, with specific categories for Police, Emergency Service, and Health Care teams, as well as Corporate & Other Teams. There is also an option to complete a virtual run or walk in a location of the participant's choosing. All participants receive electronic timing and a medal, with age group winners receiving additional medals. A certificate with race time is available online after the event.
Entry fees are structured by age and distance, with bottled water included. Registration packs for those who register after a certain date can be collected on the event day or the day before.
