Ancient Lakes Trail Run
The Ancient Lakes Trail Run takes place in Quincy, WA on April 10 and 11. The event uses a cloverleaf course around desert lakes and along the Columbia River Gorge, primarily on single track trails with open, exposed terrain.
The standard 25k route is a larger loop made of three subloops that begin and end at a common aid station. Trails feature rolling terrain with about 1,700 ft of total ascent on the 25k and no single climb or descent over 400 ft. Specific route features include a waterfall and basalt outcroppings, canyon like desert sections, and a section along the Columbia River Gorge.

- 50M - nine loops, about 51.5 miles, ~6,000 ft gain
- 50K - six loops, about 34 miles, ~3,400 ft gain
- Marathon - five loops, ~2,800 ft gain
- 25K - three loops, about 17 miles, ~1,700 ft gain
- 10K - one loop (green), ~700 ft gain
The race uses one central aid station that is visited multiple times. Aid supplies include water, Gatorade, candy, and assorted snacks; limited cups and hot soup later in the day. All runners must carry a hydration system capable of holding at least 16 oz. Drop bags are accessible at the start/finish after each loop.
Packet pick-up is available at the start/finish line on race days only. Crews have access at the main aid station only. Pacers are permitted for the 50M for the final set of loops and must check in and wear a pacer bib. Parking and camping are at the Bishop Recreation Area, 5874 Ancient Lake Road, Quincy, WA. Portable toilets are provided; there is no running water. The race enforces a strict no litter policy on course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
