Amy Mihaljevic Memorial Run and Walk
The Amy Mihaljevic Memorial Run and Walk is an annual event held at Cahoon Park in Bay Village, Ohio. Established in 2020, the event commemorates Amy Mihaljevic by celebrating her active lifestyle and enthusiasm for horses, cycling, and the outdoors. The event provides a gathering point for the community while supporting the ongoing investigation through the Amy Fund.
Participants can choose from the following event distances:
- 3.1 miles (5K run)
- 1 mile (Walk)
- Kids Dash
The 3.1 miles run is a chip-timed race. All participants receive an Amy Mihaljevic Memorial Medal along with post-race refreshments and music at the Cahoon Park East Parking Lot. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual run and walk option is available for supporters across the continental United States. Virtual participants receive a shirt shipped directly to their provided address.
The financial contributions from registration fees and donations are directed toward investigative costs, specifically modern DNA testing. These funds allow local law enforcement to maintain progress on the case without the typical waiting periods associated with government grants.
