Amport Trail Run 2025
The Muddy Runners host the Amport Trail Run in 2025 on behalf of Amport Cricket Club at Amport Cricket Club, Monxton Road, Amport, near Andover (SP11 8BA). The event includes the following distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Canicross
Entry is by pre-registration only; there are no entries on the day. Advance entry closes Saturday 27 May 2025. Age rules: participants must be 12 years and older for the 10 km race and 7 years and older for the 5 km race. All 5 km entrants under 11 years must be accompanied on the route by a responsible adult who holds their own entry.
The routes are undulating and hilly, comprising trail, tarmac, dirt and single tracks. There is a single road crossing on the 5 km and 10 km courses; runners must obey marshals. The course is marked with kilometre markers, tape, signs and flags, and marshals are positioned on the route. Obstacles may include overhanging trees, rough underfoot terrain, mud, holes and ruts; appropriate footwear is advised. Headphones are permitted on most sections but must be removed when crossing or running alongside any road or when a marshal is visible.
Dogs are permitted under conditions: owners must hold public liability insurance for their dog, carry bags for waste, carry water for the dog, and use an appropriate harness and a bungee lead. Runners with dogs start in a separate wave. Dogs will not be allowed to run if the effective temperature for race time is at or over 18 degrees Celsius; the race director’s decision is final.
Toilets are available at race HQ. First aid is provided at the finish and on the course. The event is cupless; participants should bring their own cup or water bottle. Water and refreshments will be available at the finish line. Medals and prizes are provided for finishers. Parking is in the cricket club parking area as directed by marshals; please do not drive on the cricket pitch. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
