Amherstburg Canada Day 5K 2026
The Amherstburg Canada Day 5K 2026 takes place in Amherstburg, Ontario, starting in front of Fort Malden Historic Park on Laird Avenue. The event offers a chipped timing system and features formats for running, walking and assisted mobility.

- 5 km Run
- 5 km Walk
- 5 km Wheel (wheelchairs, walkers, mobility scooters)
All registrants receive a medal. Adult registrants who register by May 1 are guaranteed a shirt. Bibs should be attached visibly on the front of the body to ensure accurate timing. Walkers start slightly later than runners but still receive a recorded time. Strollers and leashed dogs are permitted when comfortable in crowds and noisy environments.
The event is entirely volunteer run and funds raised are donated to the Essex Region Conservation Foundation for local conservation projects. Race kit pickup is scheduled the day before at the Amherstburg Libro Centre and day-of pickup occurs at Fort Malden. The event includes a kids dash route roughly 1 km long and a 5 km course through Amherstburg's historic downtown, with community support along the route.
