America Mile Run - Baytown, TX
The America Mile Run is an AMRAP style mile challenge held on July 4 at Bicentennial Park in Baytown, Texas. The format gives each participant a strict two hour runtime to complete as many full one mile loops as possible on a measured loop course. Official chip timing will record laps and partial mileage is used only for tiebreakers.
The event limits participation to 250 runners and includes a prize pool of $999 distributed across four competition divisions by age and gender. Runners must display event-issued items such as the race bib and wristband and wear the assigned timing chip. A third-party timing company will manage official results and all timing decisions are final.
Race control includes course monitoring, cameras at key points, and timing verification systems. Actions that manipulate results or cut the course will result in disqualification. Water is provided along the route and first aid and emergency services are available on site. Each finisher receives a medal on site after the event.
Packet pickup occurs the day before at the Hyatt Regency Baytown Houston. On race day, on-site parking is available with overflow at a nearby facility. The run concludes as part of Baytown’s Fourth of July festival featuring live music, food, kids activities and fireworks where winners are presented on stage.
