Ambulance Driver 5K at BADSONS Brewery
The Ambulance Driver 5K is a community road race held on July 15, 2026 at BADSONS Brewery, 251 Roosevelt Drive, Derby, Connecticut. Proceeds support the Storm Engine Company Ambulance & Rescue Corps, a nonprofit founded in 1948 that provides emergency medical service, technical rescue, and hazardous materials response to the City of Derby and the lower Naugatuck Valley.
The event includes a 5K road race. Race participants receive a short-sleeve technical race shirt, a finisher medal, and a goodie bag. Runners aged 21 and older who register receive one free draft beer from BADSONS Brewery. The first 250 registered runners receive 10 free wings from the Dew Drop Inn. An after-party will take place at BADSONS Brewery.
On-course support includes a water stop and an optional sprinkler station. The start and finish are staged under an oversized Old Glory flag provided by the Derby Fire Department. The listed registration fee for the 5K is $40. Registration opens February 1, 2026 and closes February 22, 2026.
A separate Kids Fun Run is offered on the same day. That event is a half-mile down-and-back course for runners 12 and under, hosted by members of Storm Engine Company #2.
