This organization works alongside regional services such as Adams Regional Emergency Medical Services and the Gettysburg Fire Department to offer immediate care during medical emergencies.
The volunteer teams supported by the event include members trained in basic life support, CPR, AED usage, and first aid. These teams consist of certified Emergency Medical Responders, EMTs, or Paramedics who provide intervention while awaiting the arrival of ambulance crews.
Registration proceeds and donations contribute to NEAR's mission and a designated endowment fund.
