Amberaid 30 Trail Race and Petit Raid
Amberaid is an off-road trail event based at Ashover Village Hall, Milken Lane, Ashover, Chesterfield S45 0BA. The main route covers countryside paths and trails in the Amber Valley, Derbyshire, close to the eastern edge of the Peak District. A shorter option follows the northern loop of the course.

- 31 miles Amberaid main route
- 20 miles Petit Raid northern loop
The 31 mile course forms a figure-of-eight through rural terrain with climbs, descents, and woodland sections. The route is largely unmarked; the organiser provides route notes and GPX files. Participants are advised to carry a paper map as backup.
There are four checkpoints on the course:
- CP1 Tupton at 7 miles
- CP2 Wessington at 13.5 miles
- CP3 Fritchley at 20 miles (Amberaid only)
- CP4 Wessington at 25.5 miles (Amberaid only)
Every checkpoint supplies water; CP1, CP2 and CP4 also offer food. The event has a nine hour time limit and enforces a cutoff at CP2 that may redirect late runners onto the Petit Raid route. Medical cover is provided on the course and at race headquarters. Every finisher receives a medal; prizes are awarded to the first male and female on each course.
