Amberaid 30 Trail Race and Petit Raid
The Amberaid 30 Trail Race and Petit Raid is a challenging trail running event held in the Amber Valley, Derbyshire, near the eastern edge of the Peak District. The main race covers 31 miles of undulating countryside paths, featuring punchy climbs, engaging descents, expansive views, and scenic woodland trails. For those preferring a shorter distance, the Petit Raid offers a 20-mile northern loop with quality trails and hills.
The course forms a figure of eight starting from Ashover Village Hall, with several checkpoints providing water and food. The route is largely unmarked, requiring participants to use provided route notes and GPS files along with their own maps. Every finisher receives a medal, and trophies are awarded to the top male and female runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
