Amberaid 30 Trail Race and Petit Raid
The Amberaid 30 Trail Race and Petit Raid are held in Amber Valley, Derbyshire, near the eastern edge of the Peak District. The Amberaid 30 is a challenging 31-mile trail run featuring undulating countryside paths, punchy climbs, engaging descents, and scenic woodland trails. The course forms a figure of eight starting at Ashover Village Hall, with four checkpoints offering water and food.
The Petit Raid offers a shorter 20-mile Northern Loop with similar terrain and views. Both races require navigation skills as the route is largely unmarked, with route notes and GPX files provided. The event has a 9-hour time limit and awards medals to all finishers, with prizes for top male and female runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
