Amasa Trail Race - Moab, Utah
Amasa Trail Race offers three trail distances through Moab's Amasa Back and Kane Springs Canyon areas. The course moves from Kane-Springs Creek up Cliffhanger Trail, passes petroglyphs on the canyon cliffs, and runs by Whale Rock, red rock formations, canyons, and the Colorado River in spring conditions.

The 25K route drops into Jackson's Hole to follow double track before rejoining the 15K line and continuing on Rockstacker Trail. Runners encounter technical terrain and a descent toward the finish, with views of the Behind the Rocks fins and the La Sal Mountains along the way.
Course metrics by distance include lowest and highest elevations and total elevation change: the 25K has a lowest point of 3950', highest point of 4880', and about 2431' of elevation gain and loss; the 15K lists 3950' lowest, 4880' highest, and about 1700' gain and loss; the 10K lists 3950' lowest, 4685' highest, and about 1183' gain and loss.
Aid stations are cupless; water dispensers are available at the start/finish and at every aid station, and participants should bring a reusable cup. Packet pickup is held on race morning at the Kane Creek Recreation Parking Lot; photo ID is required to pick up a bib, entries are non-transferable, and runners must attach timing chips to their shoes.
