Altrincham Beer Mile 2026
Altrincham Beer Mile 2026 is presented as the event finale after ten years. It takes place at the Timperley Track, hosted by Altrincham Athletics Club at 227-229 Grove Lane, Altrincham WA15 7UF, United Kingdom, on 10 July 2026. Entries opened on 6 March 2026 and close on 10 July 2026; the entry fee is £10.50 and includes food and a special memento. The entry list shows 106 participants so far.
The event programme lists several short races and formats. The Kids Fruit Shoot 400 is one lap of the track with one fruit shoot. The Beer Mile is four beers and four laps. The Prosecco Mile offers one glass per lap poured by a sommelier. A relay is planned as a 4x400m format with one beer and one lap per runner.
Participants must bring their own beers or drinks; the minimum suggested container is a standard 330 ml bottle. Fruit cider or other alcoholic drinks may be used if preferred, ideally in similar container sizes. Catering is provided by Duncan Dickinson with vegan and vegetarian options available.
