Event overview
The Alternate Chili Ten Mile Trail Run takes place on January 11, 2026 in Kansas City, KS. The event is a 10-mile trail loop held at Wyandotte County Lake Park, starting at Shelter #2. Registration is limited to 100 entrants and registration closes on January 9. The race is presented as a training run for the Psycho Wyco event in February.
Course and logistics
The course is a well-marked, very hilly 10-mile loop with limited aid and electronic timing. Packet pickup is available only on race day, beginning at 8:30 AM. No human pacers are allowed; well-behaved, leashed canine pacers are permitted. A GPS course map and a video about the race are available.
What entrants receive
Registered entrants receive chili (described as beefy and rich), event swag, finisher hardware, and an oval finisher sticker. Unique chili-pot awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers. First-place male and female finishers receive free entry into the 2022 Psycho Wyco race.
