Altamont 5K Run/Walk : 28th Annual
The event is a 5K run and walk held on August 22, 2026 at Benjamin M. Crupe Bozenkill Park, Gun Club Road, Altamont, NY. The course is sanctioned by USA Track & Field and is a certified course (NY18053JG). The site is located about ten miles west of Albany off Route 20/Western Avenue to Route 146 West.
Participants are asked to bring an unexpired food or dry good item to support local food pantries. The event offers T-shirts to the first 150 people who pre-register; sizes are guaranteed for entries received by August 11. There are over 100 door prizes and live music on the course and in the finish area.
Registration fees vary by age for pre-registration: ages 19 to 69 are $30; ages 13 to 18 are $23; ages 70 and over are $20; ages 12 and under are $13. Race day entry for the 5K is $40 for all ages.
Awards are given in both walk and run divisions. The walk division recognizes the top 10 overall male and female finishers. The 5K run recognizes the top 3 male and female overall, plus top 3 male and female in age groups: 12 & under; 13-16; 17-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80 and over.
