Alive & Running Iowa 5K Run/walk
The event on Saturday, June 19, 2027, features a community 5K run/walk in Dunkerton. The starting line is located between Kwik Star and Dunkerton Gospel Hall, and the finish line is at Dunkerton Gospel Hall. The race is organized as a non-timed event.
Registration details include two pricing tiers. Pre-registration offers a $15 rate that includes a participant shirt. After pre-registration closes the fee is $25 and a shirt is not guaranteed. All children who are not in strollers must be registered. Dogs are not permitted on the course.
Packet pickup is available on Friday, June 18 at the Dunkerton High School Commons and on the morning of the race at Dunkerton Gospel Hall. Specific pickup windows are listed for each day.
Awards are limited to first place male and female winners, who receive a gift certificate to The Runner's Flat. There are no age-group awards because the event is non-timed. All race participants are eligible for door prizes.
A separate Friday Night Remembrance Ceremony is scheduled for June 18 at Dunkerton High School. The memory wall slideshow will play on repeat until the last person leaves, and there is a memory wall form for submitting names and photos to the slideshow.
