Alien Run Half Marathon
The Alien Run takes place on June 28, 2026 at Alamitos Beach, 780 E Shoreline Dr., Long Beach, CA. The event offers multiple road running distances on a beach path that is open to the public.
Distances offered:
- 5K, one lap of the 5k route
- 10K, two laps of the 5k route
- 10 Miler, two laps of the 5 mile route
- Half Marathon, two laps of the 5 mile route and one 5k lap
The course is an out and back layout with lap combinations used to create the longer distances. Runners will share the beach path with other users; participants are asked to keep to the right side of the path for pedestrians while the left side is for cyclists. Turns on the course are marked with chalk, a runner turn sign, and a flag.
On-course support includes a fully stocked water station along the route and an aid station at the finish with water, electrolytes, gels, and fruit snacks. Each station has a first aid kit and crew members who have received CPR training.
Event logistics note that bibs should be worn on the front of the shirt for time tracking and photos. A gear check is available at the registration tent and participants are asked to bring their own bag. All finishers receive a medal and overall first place male and female in each distance receive first place medals.
