Alien Run
The Alien Run takes place at Alamitos Beach in Long Beach, California. This extraterrestrial-themed event offers several race distances conducted on a beach path. Participants can choose between the following distances:
- 5k (one lap of the 5k route)
- 10k (two laps of the 5k route)
- 10 Miler (two laps of the 5m route)
- Half Marathon (two laps of the 5m route and one lap of the 5k route)
The course is an out-and-back design on an open public path. Runners are required to stay on the right side of the path, as the left side is dedicated to cyclists. The route features clear markings including chalk, runner turn signs, and flags. A fully stocked water station is positioned along the course, and the finish line provides an aid station equipped with water, electrolytes, gels, and fruit snacks. High Tide Crew Members trained in CPR are present, and first aid kits are available at each station.
Parking is available in a lot for a hourly fee or via a mobile payment app, while local street parking is free. Participants may use a gear check service at the registration tent by bringing their own bags. All finishers receive a medal, with specific awards presented to the first place male and female finishers in each distance. Race photos are provided to participants at no cost following the event.
