Event Overview
The Alien Run is a running event on June 28, 2026. It offers four distance options: 5k, 10k, 10 Miler, and Half Marathon.
Location and Course
The event takes place at Alamitos Beach in Long Beach, California. The start is at 780 E Shoreline Dr. The course is on the beach path, which is open to other users. Runners are asked to stay on the right side of the path, which is for pedestrians. The left side is for cyclists.
The course format is out-and-back, using a combination of two measured routes:
- The 5k route is used for the 5k (one lap) and the 10k (two laps).
- The 5 Miler route is used for the 10 Miler (two laps) and the Half Marathon. The Half Marathon involves running the 5 Miler route twice and the 5k route once.
Event Information
Bib pick-up opens in the morning. There is a course time limit of 3 hours and 20 minutes for the Half Marathon and 10 Miler. An early start option may be pre-arranged for the Half Marathon and 10 Miler only, but early starters are not eligible for awards.
A water station is located on the course. The finish line has an aid station with water, electrolytes, gels, and fruit snacks. Turns are marked with chalk, signs, and flags.
