Alex Moore Festival
The Alex Moore Festival takes place on 31 May 2026 at Norfolk Showground. It brings together two events, the Alex Moore Relay and The Big Stampede, in a single event at the showground for a second year.
Race options include:
- 2k children's race
- 5k individual race
- Alex Moore Relay team event
The relay is run by teams of three. Each team member completes a 5k leg with individual times recorded, and the team then runs a final 2k leg together. Medals are available for all participants. Categories are provided across children, junior, open and veteran age bands for both individual races and relay teams.
Entry fees are published for each event: the 2k is priced at £10 per participant; the 5k is £20 affiliated or £22 unaffiliated; relay teams are £60 affiliated or £66 unaffiliated. There is no stated participant cap. Entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred, but transfers to another runner are permitted until midnight on 23/05/2026.
Race HQ is at Norfolk Showground. Facilities include toilets and changing rooms with no showers, free parking, and no formal bag drop though club gazebos are encouraged and items are left at the owner’s risk. The course is flat tarmac around the showground with water stations on each lap, no cut-off times, first aid provided by MedPTS, headphones allowed, and marshals and signage throughout. Spectator space called Cheer Alley is provided and local food vendors will be present. Results will be published online by the organiser and timing provider.
