Alec's Run XXII returns on April 25th in Dix Hills, New York, featuring a 4 mile run and a Fun Run. The event supports local children and charities. All participants receive shirts, with Fun Run entrants also getting medals and 4 milers entered into a raffle.

Alec's Run

Alec's Run is a community event in its 22nd year, held on April 25, 2026, at Half Hollow Hills West High School in Dix Hills, New York. The event features two running options.

A 4 mile run/walk.
A shorter Fun Run.

All participants in the Fun Run receive a shirt and a medal. Participants in the 4 mile event receive a custom-made shirt and are entered into a raffle for gifts donated by local businesses. Proceeds from the event support disadvantaged children in the community, as well as the organizations Kids and Cars and Hospice Care Network.

Awards are given to the overall male and female winners. Awards are also presented to the top three male and female finishers in numerous age divisions, ranging from 14 & under to 95 & over. The event uses MYLAPS BibTag timing by Start To Finish Corp.

Packet pickup is available the day before the event at the high school. Race day packet pickup is also available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
