Alcester 10k
The Alcester 10k returns for its twelfth year, centered in the market town of Alcester near Stratford Upon Avon. The event features a route that begins and ends on the High Street, taking participants through the country lanes of Warwickshire. The course consists of a single loop and includes two drinks stations to support runners during the race. While the route is described as undulating in parts, it primarily follows closed roads and offers a finish line experience with significant local community support.
The event provides chip timing, post-race snacks, and the opportunity to purchase professional race photography. All participants receive a finishers medal and a t-shirt. For families, there is a separate 1 km Kids Fun Run that is free to enter. This children's run starts and finishes near the main adult finish line, and all young participants receive a medal.
Available distances:
- 10 km
- 1 km (Kids Fun Run)
The 10 km race is open to participants aged 15 to 100, while the Kids Fun Run is available for those aged 15 and under. After the event, the town of Alcester offers various cafes and pubs for participants and spectators to visit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
