About the race
Alberta First Responders 5km In Their Boots 2025 is a community fundraising run held in Spruce Grove, Alberta (450 King Street). The event features a 5-kilometre course and multiple ways to participate: a competitive First Responders vs Civilians challenge where 50 participants in each group wear a symbolic 50-pound weighted vest, plus a non-competitive Fun Run/Walk for all ages. Participants must provide their own weighted vest, and eligibility applies for first responders.
Proceeds support mental health and suicide prevention through the Alberta First Responders Association, including the “1st Health for First Responders” program.
