2026 events overview
Outfront Endurance will present a series of running events in Alameda in 2026. The schedule includes races at Alameda Point, Bay Farm Island, and the USS Hornet pier. Events include road races at multiple distances, a post-race expo or vendors at several events, and some charity partnerships with local organizations.
Events
The Hospital Foundation Spring Run (April 26, 2026) is held at Faction Brewery and includes Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, 1-mile fun run, and a 1/2 mile kids run. It is a USATF 10K Grand Prix event and benefits the Hospital Foundation of Alameda. The event offers a "Half and Half" challenge with the Island Running Festival for participants who run both half marathons.
The Parade 5K Run is a point-to-point race on fully closed roads with a flat course and spectator-lined streets. A portion of Haight Street is reserved for parade viewing and there are post-race refreshments, music, beer, and local vendors. The event benefits the Midway Shelter of Alameda.
The Island Running Festival (September 20, 2026) at Alameda Point features four distances : 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and a kids run : with an expo, awards, and a beer garden. Packet pickup and expo setup are scheduled the day before.
The Halloween Twilight 5K (October 30, 2026) starts and finishes at the USS Hornet pier and runs around Alameda Point. There is post-race music, beer, and opportunities to tour the ship; costumes are encouraged.
The Midway Shelter Winter Run (December 5) on Bay Farm Island includes 5K, 10K, and a 1/2 mile kids run, and takes place at the Harbor Bay Ferry Terminal with views of the Alameda coastline and San Francisco. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
