Event Overview
The event is the Akron Marathon Race Series' marquee event. It comprises a full marathon, a half marathon, and a team relay. The 2026 event marks the 20th year of the half marathon distance.
Course Details
The course starts and finishes in downtown Akron. The route passes through the city, featuring various landmarks and parks. These include the Akron Art Museum, The University of Akron, Firestone Park, the Towpath Trail, Sand Run Parkway, Stan Hywet Estate, and Highland Square. The finish line is at Lock 3, known as the "Blue Line."
Participation and Activities
Participants can enter the marathon, half marathon, or a team relay where a group shares the 26.2-mile distance.
