The Akash Wine Run is a 5k run/walk set for March 1, 2026 at Akash Winery & Vineyards, 39730 Calle Contento, Temecula, CA 92591. The course map will be posted by the organizer. The event is chip timed and scored by J3 Timing and results will be posted online. Free race photos will be available for download after the event.
The event lists Barks of Love as the local charity partner. Barks of Love is described as a no-kill rescue that focuses on rehabilitation, re-training and adoption of dogs in private foster homes, and reports that at least 75% of its effort is spent on rescue and rehabilitation.
Registration, awards and logistics
Registration includes a super-soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal, a chip-timed race bib and a pour of wine. The race is open to ages 1 to 99; minors receive a discounted registration that includes shirt, medal and bib but not a wine glass or wine pour. A virtual participation option is available; packet pickup is race day only and the organizer can ship packets for an additional fee ($10 shipping and handling when using the virtual race transfer).
The event offers age-group awards in 10-year categories with awards for top finishers; winners must start with the first wave or first group to be eligible.
