Akash Wine Run 5k
The Akash Wine Run 5k is a timed 5k run and walk scheduled for March 1, 2026 at Akash Winery & Vineyards in Temecula, California. The event uses wave starts and posts results online through J3 Timing.
The course is a scenic cross country route that runs back and forth through rows in the orchard. The surface is mostly grass and is generally well groomed, though there are some uneven spots. The route is presented for both runners and walkers. Strollers are allowed but not recommended because of the uneven ground; children in strollers may participate without registering.
Registration includes a super soft ring spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip timed race bib, and a wine pour. A virtual participation option is provided; registrants can pick up a packet and run on their own or request packet shipment for an additional shipping and handling fee.
The event offers age group awards for the top three male and female finishers in each 10 year category. Awards are distributed on race day only and eligible runners should start with the first wave. The designated charity partner for the event is Barks of Love, a no kill dog rescue serving Orange County and the Inland Empire that focuses on rescue, rehabilitation and re training.
