Event overview
The Akash Wine Run 5k is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Akash Winery & Vineyards, 39730 Calle Contento, Temecula, CA 92591. The event features a 5k run/walk that is chip timed and scored by J3 Timing. Results and race photos are posted online after the event. A virtual participation option is available; packets can be shipped for a $10 shipping and handling charge or picked up on race day.
Registration, awards and logistics
Standard registration items include a Super Soft ring spun cotton t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, and a pour of wine. A discounted registration rate applies for minors; minors receive the shirt, medal and bib but do not receive a wine glass or wine pour. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Packet pickup is race day only and opens one hour before the event. The event awards age-group prizes to the top three male and female finishers in each ten-year category, from 1-9 through 80 and over.
