Event overview
The Akash Wine Run 5k is scheduled for March 1, 2026, at Akash Winery & Vineyards, 39730 Calle Contento, Temecula, CA 92591. The event is a chip-timed 5k run/walk with results posted online and professionally timed by J3 Timing. The official course map will be posted soon.
Entries and race package
Registration is open to a wide age range (listed as ages 1 to 99) and includes:
- 5k race bib with chip timing
- T-shirt (ring spun cotton)
- Shatterproof, collapsible wine glass
- Finisher medal that doubles as a bottle stopper
- A pour of wine (minors are eligible to register but will not receive a wine glass or wine pour)
Packet pickup is race-day only and opens one hour before the event. A virtual participation option is available; packets can be shipped for an additional $10 shipping and handling fee.
Awards, accessibility and charity
Age-group awards are given in 10-year categories up to 80 & Over, with top finishers in each category receiving custom awards; awards must be picked up on race day. Strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground on the course. The event’s designated charity partner is Barks of Love.
