Event information

The Air Line Trail Ghost Run takes place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Hebron, Connecticut (92 Church St., Hebron, CT 06248). The Parks & Recreation Departments of Hebron, Colchester, and East Hampton and the State of Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection organize the 21st annual event. The main event is a certified half marathon of 13.1 miles and there is a 13.1 mile relay option. Runners who register before October 1 will receive a race T-shirt. Preregistration is required; the registration deadline is October 31 by 1:30pm. Early bib pickup is scheduled on Friday, October 31 at the Burnt Hill Park Office Building (148 East Street, Hebron, CT). The event is for runners only and does not allow dogs.

Course and logistics

The certified half marathon follows the historic Air Line Trail for roughly 11 miles of the route. The trail surface is mostly flat with packed stone, gravel, and earthen material. The race begins at Hebron Elementary School on Route 85, proceeds south on Route 85 for about 2 miles, then joins the Air Line Trail behind Juliano’s Pools, continues through Colchester into East Hampton, and finishes near Center Elementary School via Watrous Street and Summit Street.
