Event Overview
This event features a 5k run/walk and a 1-mile kids dash. It is held in memory of a young child named Aiden.
The 5k takes place on a flat dirt trail system, described as a "down and back" route. Participants have the flexibility to turn around at any point. The event is a "Fun Run" with no official timing.
Event Features and Activities
Registered participants can receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal, with no-shirt/no-medal registration options available. The event atmosphere includes carnival games, rock painting, and an individual butterfly release. Food trucks are present at the start and finish line.
The location has a small dog park. The event is stroller-friendly and dogs are allowed on the course.
Practical Information
All proceeds from the event are donated to two Colorado Springs-based organizations: Care and Share of Southern Colorado and the Catamount Institute.
Parking is limited, and carpooling is advised. Participants park on the east side of the park, while vendors and volunteers park on the west side. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
