Event Overview
The Adventure Awaits 5k is an annual event hosted by Scouting America's Great Falls Council. The race takes place at Riverfront Park in Sayre, Pennsylvania. The course consists of a mix of trail and road surfaces. Participants may choose to run or walk the distance, and the event allows for the use of strollers. Dogs are not permitted at the venue.

- 0.25 Miles (Kids Run)
- 3.1 Miles (Virtual 5k Run)
Participation Details
The 3.1 Miles race is chip-timed. Participants who register by August 1st receive a race t-shirt. On-site facilities include restrooms and at least one water station managed by local Scouts. The morning activities include a flag ceremony prior to the start of the athletic events. Participants can pick up their race packets either the evening before or on the morning of the event. Payments made during the packet pick-up window must be in cash or check.
Kids Run and Awards
The Kids Fun Run covers approximately 400 meters and is open to children between the ages of 2 and 10. Every child participating in this distance receives a prize. The park also features a playground area. For the 5k distance, an awards ceremony is held for the top male and female finishers in several age categories, ranging from under 12 to 60 and above.
