Adventure Awaits 5k
The Adventure Awaits 5k takes place at Riverfront Park in Sayre, Pennsylvania on August 29, 2026. The event offers in-person and virtual options and is organized in support of Scouting America Great Falls Council.

- 3.1 Miles Virtual 5K
The course combines trail and road surfaces. Restrooms are available at the park and at least one water stop will be staffed by local Scouts. A playground is on site.
Packet pick up is available the day before the event and on race morning. A flag ceremony by local Scouts will precede the morning activities. The Kids Run is open to children approximately ages 2 to 10; a waiver is required for all child participants and each child will receive a participation prize. Strollers are allowed and dogs are not permitted.
Registration opens January 1, 2026 and closes August 27, 2026. Early registration is offered at a reduced fee of $25; registration at packet pick up is $30 and cash or checks are accepted on the event days. The virtual 5K can include a mailed race t-shirt for an additional fee of $6.95 if requested before the registration deadline.
Results are chip-timed. Awards are given for top men and women across specified age groups and for overall top finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
