Action Dash 2026
Action Dash takes place on June 27, 2026 at William Hawrelak Park in Edmonton. The event is organized by Action for Healthy Communities (AHC) as a charity run to support healthy living and community programs for newcomers and other community members.
The event combines running with community activities. After the races there will be food, a cultural marketplace, and music to recognise and celebrate local diversity. AHC describes its work in settlement and employment supports, adult literacy, youth programming, and community development.
Fundraising for the event is structured into several donation tiers with corresponding recognition within the event materials. Registration includes separate pricing for adults and children and a children s discount for certain age groups.
The event offers multiple distances:
- 1 km walk and run, untimed
- 5 km timed event
- 10 km timed event
Race pack pickup is available at The Running Room, 8537 109 Street, and includes a race bib and a t shirt. Published registration fees list CA$45.18 for the 5 km and 10 km entries and CA$23.63 for the 1 km entry. Children aged 6 to 13 are eligible for a 50 percent ticket reduction for the 5 km and 10 km events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
