About the race
The ACM 5km Summer Series in Masterton is a free, public run/walk series held on a repeating course in Lansdowne. The same route is used each fortnight, with one week between the final two events of the series. The programme welcomes all participants.
Distances:
- 5 km course following the track out past the deer park, along the stop bank to Columbo bridge, across the Waipoua bridge, along the river trail, down Railway Crescent, across the railway line and back to the club rooms.
- 2 km short course that follows the 5 km route to the Opaki Rd bridge, then follows marked yellow flags across the bridge and returns to rejoin the main trail to the club rooms.
Participants share a communal morning tea after the event when a $50 spot prize is drawn. Two $100 spot prizes are drawn from those who attend at least six of the eight events. One free ACM family membership (valued at $140) is offered to anyone under 16 years who attends at least five of the eight events.
