Dam Spooky Halloween 5k, 10k, 15k and Half Marathon
This event is a Halloween themed running and walking event at Hansen Dam in Lake View Terrace, San Fernando Valley on October 17, 2026. It offers multiple race distances and a custom Halloween finisher medal. Costumes are optional and encouraged.

The course is an out-and-back loop layout that is easy to follow, with one small hill about 0.6 miles from the start. The 5K is one loop, the 10K is two loops, the 15K is three loops, and the half marathon is three 4.36 mile loops. Aid stations are located on every loop and provide water cups, bottled water, Gatorade cups, and energy gels.
Registration includes a custom finisher medal, a drawstring goodie bag, free photos and videos, live results, trophy and achievement badges, and access to the event app for tracking race media and results. Age group awards are available and must be picked up at the race. There is a stated time limit of 3 hours 15 minutes; transfers can be arranged by request and there is a no refund policy.
Parking is free in the lot at the start and finish. The start and finish are located on the path across the street from the Hansen Dam Skate Park, with restrooms and parking nearby. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
