Dam Spooky at Hansen Dam : October 17, 2026
Dam Spooky is a multi-distance running event held at Hansen Dam in Lake View Terrace on October 17, 2026. The course is an open path shared with pedestrians, runners, and cyclists; participants are asked to be courteous to others on the route.
The course is described as easy to follow and uses an out and back layout with one small hill about 0.6 miles from the start. Aid stations are available at every loop and provide water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. A time limit of 3 hours and 15 minutes applies.
Distances offered:
- 5k : one loop
- 10k : two loops
- 15k : three loops
- Half marathon : three loops of 4.36 miles each
Registration benefits include a custom finisher medal, a drawstring goodie bag, free photos and videos, posted results within 12 to 24 hours, and an assortment of snacks and samples. Transfers are permitted by contacting the event organizer; there is a no refund policy. Race day registration fees are listed for each distance.
