A Better World Running stages a Halloween-themed running event at Hansen Dam Skate Park in Lake View Terrace, CA on October 17, 2026. Costumes are welcome and the course is an open path shared with pedestrians, runners, and cyclists, so courtesy to others is requested.
The event offers multiple distances:
- 5k (1 loop)
- 10k (2 loops)
- 15k (3 loops)
- Half Marathon (three 4.36 mile loops)
The course is described as easy to follow with an easy out-and-back layout and one small hill about 0.6 miles from the start. Aid stations are provided at every loop and supply water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and Gu gels. Course maps are provided by the organizer.
