Happy Father's Day 5k, 10k, 15k, and Half Marathon
The Happy Father's Day running event takes place at Woodley Park in Lake Balboa, Van Nuys. This event offers four different distances on an open course where participants share the path with other pedestrians, runners, and cyclists. The course is an out-and-back design featuring one small hill located approximately 0.6 miles from the start.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5 km (one loop)
- 10 km (two loops)
- 15 km (three loops)
- Half Marathon (three loops of 4.36 miles each)
The event includes an aid station at every loop, providing water, Gatorade, and gels. Registration includes several amenities, such as custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, and an assortment of snacks and samples. Results are typically posted online within 12-24 hours after the conclusion of the event, and participants have access to free photos and videos.
The race follows a strict time limit of 3 hours and 15 minutes for the Half Marathon. All participants are required to use the pedestrian tunnel to travel between sections and must not cross Woodley Avenue directly. The check-in tables are located at the north end of the parking lots near Victory Boulevard.
