Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K
The Abbott Dash to the Finish Line is a 5K road race held on October 31, 2026 in Manhattan as part of marathon weekend. The course runs through Midtown Manhattan and finishes at the TCS New York City Marathon finish line in Central Park. The race falls on Halloween and includes festive elements, with a policy that prohibits costumes covering the face or non-form fitting outfits that extend beyond the perimeter of the body.
This event is a scored race and a qualifier for the 9+1 credit program. Prize money is awarded in the NYRR Member Division with equal amounts for men, women, and nonbinary categories; top overall payouts include $1,500 for first, $1,000 for second, and $750 for third, with additional places paid. Team prize money is also offered based on cumulative net time for eligible team sizes.
Awards for the top three overall finishers in men, women, and nonbinary divisions are presented on site. Age group finishers can claim awards after the race through an awards claim process. Race numbers and timing tags are distributed at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub at 320 West 57th Street.
NYRR provides accessibility accommodations and a process for guide or support runner requests. Bag check requires clear bags no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep.
