Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K
Held on October 31, 2026 in Manhattan, the Abbott Dash to the Finish Line is a road race covering 5K that finishes at the TCS New York City Marathon finish line in Central Park. The event takes place during marathon weekend and falls on Halloween.
The race is open to runners ages 8 and up and is a scored event. It is listed as a 9+1 program qualifier and offers prize money with equal amounts for men, women, and nonbinary divisions. To be eligible for NYRR Member Division prize money a runner must have had a valid paid NYRR membership since at least July 31, 2026 and must complete the course in 21 minutes or faster. Top individual member prizes include 1st place 1500 USD, 2nd place 1000 USD, and 3rd place 750 USD. Team prize money is awarded by cumulative net time with specific team size requirements for each division.
Race number pickup takes place at the NYRR RUNCENTER at 320 West 57th Street; there is no number pickup on race morning. Bag check accepts only clear bags no larger than 17" wide by 20" high by 7" deep. Live unofficial results and runner tracking are available in the NYRR app during the event and official results are posted afterward. NYRR provides accessibility accommodations and a process for guide and support runners. Entry fees are non refundable and events will not be rescheduled if canceled at the direction of authorities.
