Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K
The Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K takes place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, and covers a 5K course through Midtown Manhattan that finishes at the TCS New York City Marathon finish line in Central Park. The event runs during marathon weekend and coincides with Halloween, bringing a festive atmosphere; costumes are permitted with restrictions that prohibit face-covering costumes and non-form-fitting outfits that extend beyond the body perimeter.
This scored race is a 9+1 program qualifier and offers prize money in NYRR Member Division and team categories. NYRR Member Division individual prizes range from $1,500 for first place to $100 for eighth. To be eligible for member division prize money, a runner must have a valid paid NYRR membership since at least July 31, 2026 and must complete the course in 21 minutes or faster. Team prize money requires specific team sizes for men, women, and nonbinary teams and is awarded based on cumulative net time.
The event supports Sesame Workshop and includes a partnership with Abbott on a children’s health program.
