ABBATHON 5K and 10K Run - Glasgow

ABBATHON is a themed running event on 3 April 2027 at Glasgow Green, Greendyke St, Saltmarket, Glasgow G1 5DB. The event combines a live ABBA tribute performance, on-course music and timed 5K and 10K runs in the park.

Features include a live ABBA tribute act performing for at least 45 minutes before the race, a DJ, and music guides carrying speakers along the route. Professional photographers will take event photos that are made available for free within 72 hours. All entrants receive chip timing via race bibs and an official finishing time. Finishers receive a special-edition medal inspired by ABBA elements, and post-race refreshments include fresh fruit. Dressing in ABBA-inspired outfits is optional. A limited edition ABBATHON finisher T-shirt is offered for an extra cost of £19.99.

Transport and local information note that public transport is recommended. Glasgow Green is served by trains, buses and the subway. On-street parking near the park is very limited; paid city centre car parks are within walking distance. Glasgow city centre has a Low Emission Zone; Glasgow Green itself is outside the LEZ but routes through the city may pass through it. Cycle hire docking points and bike racks are available near the park entrances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
