Event Information
The AAPI New Jersey Color Run is a community event taking place on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at Brookdale Park in Bloomfield, New Jersey. This is its fifth annual edition. The event is inspired by two cultural festivals: Holi, the Hindu Festival of Colors, and Songkran, the Thai New Year water festival.
Distances
The event offers two color-themed runs:
- 5k Color Run
- 1 Mile Color Run
Course and Details
Both courses go through Brookdale Park. Participants will encounter colorful powder splashed along the route. A detour is available at the finish line for those who prefer less color, though avoiding color completely is described as difficult. The event is open to all ages and registration is capped at 1,500 total participants.
Event Policies
Strollers are allowed but must start at the back. Children under two do not need to register. Dogs are not permitted. The event will be held rain or shine, and there are no refunds. Proceeds from the event support AAPI New Jersey's mission to create a more inclusive community, advocate for AAPI rights, and promote awareness of AAPI culture and history.
