A New Beginning 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, January 3, 2026, in Vero Beach, FL. The event takes place at Riverside Park Drive, Vero Beach, FL 32963. It includes two events:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
Standard registration is listed at $35. The price increases after December 30, 2025.
Logistics, amenities and awards
Packet pickup and early pickup are provided. Early pickup is set for Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Indian River County Main Library, Pelican Room (1st Floor, next to Gift Shop). Additional packet pickup and late registration occur at Riverside Park (Large Picnic Pavilion) on race day; a late registration fee of $40 applies.
Amenities include a T-shirt for the first 200 registrants in the 5K Run, professional timing for all 5K participants, on-site music, and food and beverage available at the race. Donations are encouraged and a donation box will be available at the pavilion.
Awards are given to Overall Top Male and Female and to the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 14 and under, 15-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65, 66-75, and 76+. The event supports the Frances Foundation For Kids Fighting Cancer, a nonprofit 501(c) organization with a new Vero Beach chapter. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
