A Most Excellent Race is the Achievement Centers for Children’s 36th annual event at Camp Cheerful in Strongsville, Ohio on June 28, 2026. The event includes multiple on site and virtual options and supports recreation services at Camp Cheerful.

Registration opens January 11, 2026. Most entry fees are listed at $35 and the Camp Cheerful Classic for camp clients is free. Registrations made after June 10, 2026 are not guaranteed a shirt; a limited supply of classic shirts will be available on event day subject to availability. T shirts must be picked up at the event or at an ACC site after the race.
Event logistics note parking at the Best Western on Royalton Road with shuttle service to Camp Cheerful; accessible parking is available at the camp. The camp entrance uses a single lane bridge and volunteers will direct traffic. Only qualified service animals are permitted on site. Strollers are allowed on the course.
Family activities are planned weather permitting and may include a coloring station, crafts, and athletic balls. Water and snacks will be provided. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three male and female in the listed age groups. Virtual participants are not eligible for awards or medals.
