A Guided Run: The Apple Trail and Tamar Valley
This guided trail run on 24 May 2026 covers about 10 miles on woodland tracks, river valley paths and a small amount of country lanes. The route uses largely runnable surfaces but is presented as a running adventure rather than a fast training session.
The route starts at the Tamar Trails / Tavistock Woodland carpark, which charges either cash or via the "paybyphone" app. Participants will head north through the trees, cross into Cornwall, proceed south through a couple of villages, cross back over the river Tamar and return to the carpark.
Recommended kit includes trail shoes, a waterproof, hat and gloves if cold, and any snacks or fluids required during the run. Entry is priced at £5.00 until 23 May 2026.
