A guided run from Bovey Tracey to Lustleigh and back
This guided run takes place on 19 April 2026 and follows the eastern edge of the moor from Bovey Tracey to Lustleigh and back. The outward route uses good paths and country lanes via Shaptor Down, Gladstone Rock and Trenchford Reservoir, returning along the Dartmoor Way to Bovey Tracey.
The route covers about 10.5 miles with roughly 2000 ft of climb. The run stays on paths and lanes with no open moorland, giving a gentle countryside feel rather than exposed moor running.
Participants are asked to wear trail shoes and carry a waterproof, snacks and water, as weather can change. There is a car park with toilets at the start; parking is charged. The organiser is unable to offer lifts from Tavistock on this occasion.
