9/11 Memorial & Museum 4M Presented by RXR
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum 4M Presented by RXR is a four mile race in Central Park that marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The event is organized in partnership with New York Road Runners and is expected to bring about 5,000 participants to the park.
The race remembers the nearly 3,000 people killed on September 11 and honors the service of those who helped the city recover and rebuild. Funds raised from the event support the 9/11 Memorial & Museum’s educational programs and help keep the Memorial free to visitors.
Logistics noted for participants include race number pickup at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub at 320 West 57th Street and a bag check policy that accepts only clear bags no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep. All registrants receive a commemorative New Balance tech t-shirt. The race is a scored event and qualifies for 9+1 credit.
Accessibility and accommodation options are available, and requests for guide or support runners must be submitted at least two weeks before the event. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in the overall men, women, and nonbinary divisions, with age group awards handled after the event.
