9/11 Memorial & Museum 4M Presented by RXR
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum 4M is a four mile road race in Central Park that commemorates the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. The event remembers the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honors the service of those who helped the city recover and rebuild. The race is presented by RXR in partnership with the 9/11 Memorial & Museum and New York Road Runners and is expected to bring about 5,000 participants to Central Park.
The course begins on East Drive near East 69th Street, heads north on East Drive, turns left onto the 102nd Street Crossing, turns left onto West Drive heading south, and finishes with a left off West Drive onto the 72nd Street Transverse. All registrants receive a commemorative New Balance tech t shirt at number pickup.
Event proceeds support the Museum’s educational programs and help keep the Memorial free to visitors. The race is a scored event and a 9+1 program qualifier. Race day amenities include pre race water, three course fluid stations offering water only, and post finish water, apples, pretzels, and Gatorade. Number pickup is available at the NYRR RUNCENTER, at the New Balance Flatiron store, and at Race Day Central. A clear bag policy applies for bag check with a recommended maximum size of 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
