9/11 Memorial & Museum 4M Presented by RXR
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum 4M is a four mile road race in Central Park on Saturday, July 11, 2026. The event commemorates the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, remembers the nearly 3,000 people killed, and honors the service of those who helped the city recover and rebuild.
The race expects about 5,000 participants and is organized in partnership with New York Road Runners. All funds raised support the Museum’s educational programs and help keep the Memorial free to visitors. All registrants receive a commemorative New Balance tech t-shirt.
This event is a scored race and qualifies for 9+1 credit toward marathon entry. Live unofficial results and runner tracking will be available through the organizer’s mobile app, and official results will be posted online after the race. Awards are presented on site to the top three finishers overall in the men, women, and nonbinary divisions; age-group awards can be claimed after the event.
Practical details include race number pickup at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub and a clear bag policy for bag check with a recommended maximum size of 17 inches wide by 20 inches high by 7 inches deep. The organizer states it will provide accessibility accommodations and training resources in the lead up to the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
