9/11 Heroes Run Grand Rapids, MI
The 9/11 Heroes Run in Grand Rapids, MI is presented at Grand Valley State University in Allendale. The event honors the heroes of 9/11 and those who have served the nation since, and it aims to activate and unite communities while supporting local veterans, active duty personnel, first responders, and families of the fallen. It welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of various ages and fitness levels.
The event program includes a 5K Run, a 5K Ruck, and volunteer opportunities. Registration fees listed are $36.00 for the 5K Run, $41.00 for the 5K Ruck, and no fee for volunteers. Registration for the run and ruck opens 06/02/2026 and closes 06/30/2026. Volunteer registration opens 07/03/2026 and closes 09/26/2026.
TMF partners with GORUCK to offer rucking divisions. Rucking is described as a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks.
