9 to 5k - Market Rasen Racecourse
The 9 to 5k is a 5 kilometre event that starts, finishes and takes place around Market Rasen Racecourse in Lincolnshire. The event is organised by Curly's Athletes, a community and charity focused event management team, and is presented as a workplace challenge to encourage colleagues and groups to take part together.
The event is open to all and explicitly encourages workplaces, charities and groups to represent their teams. Participants may walk, wheel, jog or run, and the organisers state there are no time limits. The event is chip timed and finishers receive a medal. A relaxed, social finish follows the race.
A points system rewards participation and activity during the event, including points for taking part, special route points, fancy dress, volunteer roles, spirit of the day and results for overall and age group winners. Trophies and spot awards are presented for age group winners, overall winners and the top three overall points teams. The racecourse can be booked for the day and used for meetings before the event.
