82nd Airborne Division Association 3rd Annual 9/11 Run to Remember 5K
The 82nd Airborne Division Association holds a memorial 5K event offering options to run, ruck, or walk on the Longleaf Pine Trail. The 5K route is an out-and-back on the Longleaf Pine Trail at Carver's Creek - Sandhills Access in Fayetteville, NC. Note that the Sandhills Access must be reached from 401 Ramsey Street.
The event is not timed. Registered entrants receive a race bib, and those registered by 20 August 2026 will receive a complimentary T-shirt. Awards will be given to the top three male finishers and the top three female finishers. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation in honor of a former 82nd Airborne Division paratrooper and FDNY chief who died on September 11, 2001.
Registration opens 24 June 2026 and closes 11 September 2026; the registration fee listed for the Trail 5K is $35.00. Packets are available for pickup on 10 September 2026 at the 82nd Airborne Division Association National Office at 2915 Raeford Road, Suite 201, Fayetteville, NC 28303.
