Seven Sisters Trail Race
The Seven Sisters Trail Race is a 12-mile out and back trail event along the M-M trail on the ridgecrest of the Holyoke Range in Amherst, MA. The course consists of technical singletrack with rocky sections, roots, ledges that require jumping, and more than 3,500 feet of elevation gain. The route includes a defined halfway turnaround and passes near the Summit House.
Entry is capped at 500 runners and a waitlist is used when the field fills. Registrations are not transferable or deferrable; withdrawals before April 17 may be eligible for a partial refund if a waitlist exists. The event enforces time cutoffs: runners must reach the turnaround within 2.5 hours and a designated summit point within 3 hours or they will be removed from the course.
The race is cupless and requires each runner to carry their own hydration. Organizers staff two manned water stations to refill runners who carry bottles or cups. Volunteers support registration, water stations, the halfway turnaround, and the finish area. Awards are given to the top three overall in male, female, and nonbinary categories, and to first place in each listed age group based on chip time.
