The National Federation of the Blind of Colorado organizes the 6 Dot Dash as an annual 5 km event to raise awareness and funds for the National Federation of the Blind of Colorado and the Colorado Center for the Blind. Funds support Braille literacy and blindness skills training, scholarships for blind students, summer camps for blind children, and related programs.
The event takes place on September 12, 2026, in Littleton, Colorado, with the course beginning and ending at the Colorado Center for the Blind and following a traditional out-and-back route to Reynolds Landing. A virtual 5 km option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.
