Second Annual Pembroke Police Boys and Girls Club 5K Turkey Trot
The event is a community 5K run organized by the Pembroke Police Boys and Girls Club and based at the Grand Army of the Republic Hall, located at 140 Center St, Pembroke, MA. The hall was built in 1896 as a meeting place for Pembroke Civil War veterans and continues to serve the town as the club's home.
The club was established in 1980 through the leadership of local police and community members and has offered mentoring and youth programs in activities such as boxing, karate, and weight lifting. Participation in the 5K supports the club's ongoing work and the upkeep of the historic building.
