Event Overview
The 5K Meowathon is a running event that benefits Colony Cats, an all-volunteer, non-profit organization in central Ohio. The event features two separate activities: a 5K Run/Walk and a Kids Fun Run. It takes place at the Dublin Community Recreation Center, with the race course beginning and ending on the multi-use paths west of the center.
Beneficiary Details
All proceeds from the event go directly to Colony Cats. The organization's primary mission is to address cat overpopulation through public awareness and spay/neuter programs. Since its founding in 2002, it has facilitated spay/neuter procedures for nearly 33,000 cats and dogs and has helped place more than 23,000 pets into homes. The event is also dedicated to the memory of Jeremy Allan, known as "Cat Dad."
