5K Dokie Run
The event takes place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Dam No. 1 Woods East, 621 W Dundee Rd, Wheeling, IL 60090. It includes a timed 5K run and a 1 mile walk. All event proceeds support KAN-WIN.

Registration for both events opens on February 17, 2026. The 5K registration closes on April 1, 2026 with a fee of $30.00. The 1 mile walk registration closes on May 3, 2026 with a fee of $20.00.
Packet pickup is available the day before at First Korean United Methodist Church and on the event day at the race site. A free pasta dinner for registered participants is scheduled the evening before at First Korean United Methodist Church.
A $1,000 cash prize pool is allocated to the 5K, with awards for the top 15 male and top 15 female finishers. Specific prize amounts are listed for places one through fifteen. Participant items include an official race T shirt for every registrant, a finisher medal for 5K finishers, a limited quantity special gift with an approximate retail value, and post-race refreshments such as water, sports drinks, and healthy snacks.
