Event Overview
The Butterfly Run / Walk is an outdoor community athletic event held in Elkton, Oregon. This event takes place alongside the river and serves as the kickoff for the local summer season. Participation and Awards
All registered individuals receive an event T-shirt as part of their entry. The event recognizes performance across various age categories, including groups for those 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Trophies are designated for the overall fastest male and female runners, while medals are provided to the top male and female finishers in each specific age group. Award presentations take place during the local costume contest.

The course is located at 15850 OR-38 W in Elkton. Following the completion of the 5 km, participants have access to the Blooms & Butterflies Festival. This festival includes several activities and attractions such as live music, food, and craft vendors. There are also information booths and tours available of the Butterfly Pavilion and Fort Umpqua.
